I believe that hidden within us somewhere lie our own unique solutions and answers to the problems that we face. Through Counselling and Psychotherapy we can work together to unearth your strengths and your own answers and solutions to whatever difficulties you are experiencing.
My intention is to encourage and support you to change those things in you life that you can change and assist you in building a healthy resilience around the things in your life that you may want to change, but cannot. Resilience is not about being an unfeeling person or refusing to ask others for help and support when you need it. On the contrary, resilience building is empowering and enables us to turn around and face our difficulties and find space for the pain they may cause. This in turn promotes a sense of ease, confidence and wellbeing within us and can lead to a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in our lives.
My focus then is to guide and support you through these challenges to a place that can lead to freedom in the midst of grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addictions and a host of other human difficulties.
The Psychotherapy I practice is simple and wholistic. I draw upon my Buddhist background and experience in Mindfulness Based Therapies, Family Systems and Constellation work, Existential, 12 Step Programmes, Meditation, Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), Australian Bush Flower Essences and a variety of other approaches. I also draw upon my 18 years as a Wholistic Health Care Practitioner.
